After large leak on water pump car will not start. 200 1989

My daughter was driving my 1989 240 when its water pump gave up the ghost and started to leak real badly. The 240 over heated (she does not know how long it was in the red before she turned the car off) and now will not restart. I towed the car home and it still would not restart. Checked the diagnostic Fault Codes and the only errors were about a faulty Temperature sensor. I checked the FI and Brain on another 240 and they worked, so I know that they are OK. I have spark to the spark plugs and at least some compression in the # 1 Cylinder, but not the smell of gas when I turned it over with the plug removed. The timing belt is intack as the cam is turning. I hear the fuel pump spin up when I try to start the car and the 25 amp fuse looks good.

Could the timing belt have junped a few teeth?
Could it be that the over heating has caused the speed sensor to fire at the wrong time?
Could the fuel injectors have been overheated and melted in the shut position?
Could the Air Mass Flow Meter now be bad as it was in quite a bit of steam for a few minuets?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated,

Donald
