Wet passenger side carpets 900 1994

Drove my wife's 940 turbo wagon to-day, for the first time in a week or so, with her in the passenger seat. She then finds the passenger side carpet is slightly wet and shows signs of mildew. This was not noticable earlier as both foot wells have rubber mats. Cannot find anything in the FAQ's but fear this will be caused by some sort of AC problem, can anyone enlighten me. With Volvo's I assume I will be right in thinking any solution will be expensive!
