Loss of overdrive 200

hello all, I had no overdrive this morning on my 91 240 (237k). I dont ~think~ its the switch because the OD light was toggling on and off as I depressed the switch. I was wondering if anyone had any insight or starting points.

One tidbit which may/may not be related...I had the waterpump relaced 500 miles ago. Thanks for any insight.
