Aircondition cutting out BUT reving to 4000 RPM brings it back Any ideas???? 1995

I have a 1995 850 Turbo sedan with A/C climate control. When I run the air-condition and sit in traffic it cuts out, when I rev up the car to 4000 R.P.M. it comes back on. and stays on for a while then kick back out. I can either rev up in neutral or just speed up to that. Seems to work fine in the morning when it is cooler outside. No other symptoms. When it is cold it is COLD.
