OK...read and reread the FAQ's. No clues.B23 engine in 83 245. I just bought a replacement timing belt made by Federated Auto Parts. It has the 3 marks on the back and it has a directional arrow on it. If I line up the belt marks with the marks on the engine the directional arrow points to the left (meaning that the engine runs counter clockwise= from the cam to the crank to the intermediate shaft).
Is this correct?
I thought the B23 engine timing belt runs from the cam to the intermediate shaft to the crank.(=clockwise)
If I install the belt with the directional arrows backwards, will this lower the
life of the belt?
Which way does the B23 engine run? Looking at it from the radiator, clockwise or counter clockwise?
