Oh, Brick princes, yet again I beseech thee.
This SHOULD be easy. Ha!
But when I mounted the new tailgate glass with the 3M butyl roll caulk that the local NAPA had -- 3/8" diameter -- the glass stands proud. Live and learn: it's like taffy, where you can grab a piece and PULL it out, but cannot really PUSH it thinner, especially when it's large, like the perimeter of a piece of glass.
Shoulda used thinner stuff?
May I try to heat and squish this stuff (bricks on Brick?) so that the trim for the glass fits better?
Take it out now, and do the right thing, by using thinner stuff to mount the glass? I AM getter faster at this! :-)
Things you don't know... :-(
Thanks much!
