maybe fuel pump? 200

82 240 fuel tank gets half way and car jerks and hesitates then cuts off . main fuel pump under car always makes buzzing noise when the tank is full or not. also so when i remove the #5 fuse for the intank fuse when the car is running there is no change. what can be causing the car to do this.
