Would you take a free Volvo?

I have one 740 that drives me nuts (I am selling it, see classifieds) and 2 95 940s, one of which doesn't run due to a bad fuel pump. On my way home today there was a good looking pre-86 240 sedan for free. I'll check it out tomorrow as I am desperate for a working second vehicle. Any hesitations? I know rust could be bad. From what I remember these earlier 240s were pretty simple. What should I check out?
