Taking the fan blades off the fan motor 200

This is my first experience with a 240 heater. I can see why so many people get frustrated. I have it right out of the car so access is not a problem. I have taken the clips off the blades but they won't come off the motor shaft. They appear to be rusted on. Any ideas on how to get them off without destroying the blades?

What a dumb way to design a heater unit. I also have the thing out of the car to fix the recirculation actuator. They could have made that more acessable, considering it defaults to closed when the actuator breaks. And why didn't they make it so the heater core slid into a slot, so you could remove it without taking the whole heater apart.
