Can 92 740 headrests be swapped out to something else that doesn't hurt? 700 1992

For some reason the headrests in my 1992 740 give me horrible back pain on very long trips. I know they're so far forward to prevent whiplash, but my torso is just the right height that the headrests force my head forward on my spine all the time -- I'm going to sell the car if I cannot solve this problem.


Is there another year headrests that are not so far forward that will fit? Is there anything tricky about removing the headrests?
