intermittant no start 91 240 200 1991

every few weeks or so,I have a no start problem that acts like a dead battery. I turn the key and there is no sound from the starter, all warning lights on the dash go on, and if I turn on the headlights on the go out. A jump start immediatly starts the car and on repeated starts there is no hesitation or slow cranking until the next time it happens again. The first time this happened , I cleaned the battery cables, which needed cleaning, and it cured this for several weeks, but it is back again.
Anybody out there had this situation and found a cure?
Could it be relay or fuse connected?
Help!
