740 ps/ac belt replacement 700

I have a 90 740 with a B234f motor. Having trouble installing new belts for ps/ac/crankshaft pulley. I have the ps pump allthe way forward and still cant get new belts on. Any tricks or suggestions? Do I have to loosen the ac compressor? Thanks
