How to pull an AC pulley and clutch 700

Well, I am finally getting around to fixing my AC (the convincing factor being Southern california sun) and I know that all I need to do is replace the clutch and the pulley and bearing. I have heard that I take off one nut, then a snap ring, and then use some special tool to pull everything off. Do I actually need a special tool or will a gear puller do? Any procedural suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eamon
