I've got a 91 940 GLE with 255K. Just recently the temp gauge started acting funny. After starting and warming up the car, sometimes the gauge never moves up at all, then later it will jump up to the normal position. Other times it may be in the normal position, and it will jitter, sometimes even going back down to the lowest possible position. Doesn't sound like a thermostat problem to me. Is there a sensor that could be going bad, or something else?
