Just got back from testing my 242 after installing Turbo sway bars front and rear with new Volvo bushings in front, Sachs Advantage strut inserts and rear shocks, control arm bushings, and front brake pads. Everything else in the front end is tight. Wow, nice improvement in handling!
Doing the work, I didn't run into any real problems. With some Brickboard help, everything worked out fine. I encourage people not to shy away from doing control arm bushings. It really wasn't hard removing and installing these. I paid someone else to remove the old bushings and press the new ones in, and I'm glad I did. It took him almost an hour with a press, an air chisel, and a torch.
Next handling upgrade will be Turbo wheels and new tires. Can't wait.
