miles per gallon go south. Any ideas??? 900

Hi Guys:

I cleaned the throttle body on my 92-940gl(224k). I don't think it had ever been done and it was pretty gunked up. Did not immerse it in any solution just used a small amount of WD-40 and toothbrush. Left it looking new and opening and closing really smoothly. Also, the car runs really, really smooth. Idle is around 600-700 and it runs great. Only problem is my mileage went from around 25mpg to 20mpg. I know it's all hooked up correctly and nothing is lose. Cat convertor and O2 sensor are original. Any ideas???
