Need help with removing AC components/Follow up on my Junk Yard post below... 200 1980

So, as stated in my previous post, I went to a junk yard today to pull new components for the AC in my '80 245 DL which does not work. I had TONs of trouble.

How exactly does the Power Steering pump come out? I got all the bolts off of one in a junked car, but I could not get that damn hose that runs down by the struts to come loose!

How am I suppose to disconnect the AC hoses?

Anyone have any tips to get better access to everything? I cut lots of wires out of the way and removed a bunch of misc. items (like the radiator fan) to make it a bit easier, but it was still very cramped. Also, I'm not going to be able simply cut wires out of the way on my '80 when the time comes to drop the new equipment in, so I'll have to figure something else out.

As for the hoses going into the firewall, what am I going to need to disconnect inside the car?

I found several of the 240s with the later compressors (didn't find any '90s 240s that had the AC stuff still in them though.) I noticed that lots of the 700s have the same compressor as someone mentioned in my previous thread. Would it be any easier to get a compressor off of a 700?

Any time saving tricks? I ended up wasting several hours today and walked away empty handed. I want to make sure that this doesn't happen tomorrow when I return to finish the job.

I'm very frustrated right now with how things went today, but I'm hoping to go in better prepared tomorrow, and this time with the proper tools.

Thanks as always.
