Thanks to all who posted regarding my 86 240 LH 2.2 with malfunctioning CIS system (engine would rev very high when plugged in). Several posts pointed to a bad ECU. I replaced the ECU (544) this morning with a used one from pick-a-part and now the CIS works perfectly!
