coolant loss,,, new tank cap,,, related?? 700

1898 760 gle 120,000 miles

purchased new expansion tank cap and installed,, now coolant in the tank
goes away in a day,, refill it is ok for a day.
could the new cap be pressurizing the system causing leaks not
otherwise seen? original plastic radiator.
