volvo tailights/parking lights are weird!

Hi,
I tried everything. Solution: I switch the sockets around.
Now it works fine. I still dont understand, but I will take "work" over "not work".
I check voltage and continuity until I was blue. Everything check out. But It sill wouldnt work.

Without tailights the brake lights worked dimly. With tailignts the brake lights didnt work. I had power, I had ground, and continuity all over the place.
I change the sockets around, and now everything works perfectly.

Way back in my mind I have this itchy little feeling that the other shoe is yet to fall. But, "Im on the road again...

Any comments?
