CORRECT A/C PRESSURE FOR THE LOW FILL PORT SIDE/ QUESTION 200 1986

Hi, I posted the other day about trying to locate the low pressure fill port on my a/c unit. I found it and after installing a nipple in order to attach the pressure gauge hose to I found my pressure was at about 75 psi which according to the chart is in the danger zone for being overfilled. The chart says I should be between 25-45 psi. Can I bleed off some of the refrigerant like I would an overfilled tire or what. I don't want to damage anything by being too pressurized. This system had been converted last year to the new 134a coolant with a new compresssor and drier.

Help me if you can. Thanks.
