Bougicord grade E vs. F, good enough? 700

1985 745t

So I just got my new parts and noticed that the ignition cables I received are grade E (all black), while the one's I'm pulling are grade F (blue cap). Needless to say I'm a little bit pissed since the Bougicord cables I ordered were listed for my brick and there weren't any other Bougicord ignition wire sets listed.

My question is if grade E is good enough for use in a turbo... I'm thinking not, but I don't really know what types of ambient temperatures these cables are subject to. According to Bougicord's website the following is a breakdown of the two grades:

grade E: max temp = 160c, min temp = -30c, thermal overload = 220c
grade F: max temp = 180c, min temp = -30c, thermal overload = 250c

I mean these temperatures are celsius, so the levels were talking about are RIDICULOUSLY high (read higher than the actual engine operating temperature). Did Volvo originally use F wires just for overkill? Do I actually need F grade cables?

Thanks,
Rick
