A/C problem kickin' my butt 700 1990

Condenser fan stopped running after I replaced the thermostat (probably not related). The A/C stopped blowing cold when this happened. I can hear the compresser kicking on and off so I know it is fine. I tested the fan with battery and it's good. I am getting a good 13vdc at the hot side of the relay so I replaced the relay. Still no worky. If I jumper across the plug of the relay the fan will work. Help, I'm stumped and my wife is hot.
