I am junking my beat-up 1980 245 DL wagon, which has 200K miles on it. It still runs great but I just bought a beautiful 1985 240 DL sedan with 84K miles on it and I cannot keep two cars in Brooklyn, NYC. (If you live in NYC and want my wagon post a message; I am not junking it until Monday 7/19/04.)
I want to strip everything I can off of my old wagon that I may be able to use in the future on the sedan. Can any of you Volvo fiends give me advice? What should I take, what should I leave? I will take the battery, which is new. I will also take the light covers that fit. I will take the fuel pump relay. Seats in the newer car are fine. I am pretty good with a wrench; should I snag the alternator? Any of the pumps? Any advice would be great, and thanks.
