EGR Valve? 700 1989

Does my '89 740GL (B230F) non-turbo have an EGR valve? I'm just curious because none of the local parts shops seem to carry them. They're upwards of $200 from the dealer, too. My car surges at idle, and I wonder if this could be the cause.
