1. What is the very best soap or shampoo to use on the factory carpeting?

2. I've been told that my A/C needs the hose from compressor to condensor, a new receiver drier, and a recharge. Can I install these parts myself, having no A/C experience, and then have it filled by a pro? There is no R12 whatsoever in the system.
