tranny swap 700 1989

i hate automatic transmissions.

i have a 89 760gle w/b280 and aw-71.

i read the faq "Volvo AW70/71 to M-46 Transmission Conversion"
http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/VolvoAW70M46Conversion/AW71M46Conversion.htm

but wonder if this is possible with the b280.

while i know most of you if you would swap the b280,
i must consider 2 things, 1, the engine is running fine, and 2
don't have the cash resources for an engine swap AND a tranny swap.

basically my aw71 is leaking like a sieve (replaced with one from
the junkyard without replacing the gaskets, outside on gravel in colorado
in february of 2002) well worth the $75 i paid at the time. did it in
a single weekend.

fortunately at the time, i was able to use the bellhousing of my previous
failed aw71. (had to put silicone in it to get it home from a weekend journey)
but with a manual swap am unsure of whether the flywheel sensor and a replacement flywheel, pilot bearing etc, will work.

anyways, have the ability to yank a m46 and would like to install fast,
so anyone fairly confident of my situation, please give advice.

thanks
