Removal of PV544 Gauge Panel 444-544

Only my speedometer still works...the trip odometer doesn't turn onver the 'hundreds' reel, so it's pretty useless to try to track when I need a fillup, as the fuel gauge is also inop. The previous owner installed an aftermarket temperature gauge under the dash, so I'm assuming the stock temp gauge also needs replacing.

I have a new fuel gauge on hand, and I've checked to ensure the sending unit works.

Now I need help figuring out how to get the gauge panel out of the dash. I don't see any way for it to come out without removing the whole dashbaord. I've removed all the retaining screws and the dash pad but although the dashboard is now loose from the car, there still seems to be no way to remove it.

Looking under the dash, I think I might be able to replace the temp and fuel gauges if I remove the wiper motor and linkages. Still, I'd like to have the whole gauge cluster out so I can clean and repaint it, and get that trip odometer working properly.

Does anyone have some experience removing the gauge cluster? I could sure use some help!

Also, I've been looking for a 12V blower motor/fan assembly. All I can come up with ae 6V units, which will work, but not very well.

Thanks!
