My sunroof collects rain water during large downpours, and dumps it on us unsuspecting humans when we get in and move the car. The water leaks over the front seats.
After reading the FAQs, I cleaned out the two weep-holes in the front of the sunroof opening, and one side seemed possibly clogged. Altrhough possibly less frequent (hard to tell), the problem still exists.
After experimenting, I've become fairly certain that the problem does not occur when the car is park facing down-hill, as the water makes it's way through the front weep holes. If it's parked facing up-hill, we get soaked when we start driving (with the water, naturally, aiming itself straight for my crotch, regardless of which front seat I'm sitting in).
Are there rear weep-holes? I can't see them.
Is there anotherr fix? A new gasket? If this is a viable solution, how expensive and tough is this to replace?
Thanks,
mrad
