3rd gear pops out! M46 700 1985

Just replaced clutch on M46. Although I have not observed yet, my niece who drives the car claims it pops out of third gear. I did a short drive, and did not happen when I drove it.

Any ideas what could cause this? I think I got everything back the way it should be..
