I have a 1985 740 GLE with 207500 on odometer. About a month or so ago it started to drive poorly. Seemed like it needed new wires or something else tune up related. After two days like this I went to leave the driveway and up our uphill road and the car would not go past 3 mph. Sometimes it would come to life suddenly and then behave poorly again. It also seems that once I get past 50 mph the problem is gone with no signs of acceleration problems. This is or was a great car. Of course it has it's quarks but it always fires up and almost always gets me where I want to go. I have posted this car in the classifieds and have received no response yet. My wife wants the car gone now. It has 4 new tires with just over 1000 miles, AC works well, has a good CD stereo system with speakers. New struts from IPD upfront. Car resides in Front Royal, Va I have it listed as 450.00 firm but am willing to take best offer seeing as I won't get much from the tax benefit. Anyone want my blue friend?
