Several weeks ago noticed a Clicking Sound when shifting gears. Had the fluid checked with an oil change, noise seemed a bit different, not as loud. Now, the sound is considerably louder - a definitive click. No AC anymore, so the with the windows down, it is discernable.
Last fall, I nearly managed to replace the kickdown cable (through instructions in this forum), which was catching on a bolt and causing erratic revving.. Ended up taking it in when did not trust the jack. I don't see anything wrong with it now. But, I have not given a thorough examination. The mechanic around the corner did not see anything wrong, but I usually need to diagnose the problem and then give instructions. My favorite mechanic is Walter Anwander in Lafayette IN. But he is now 2.5 hours away.
What else can I check?
