Alternator pully 200 1987

I am trying to replace the bearings on my alternator but I am finding it impossible to remove the nut that holds on the pullys. THis is making me crazy. for the purpose, I ground down two edges on a socket and put a wrench around it. Then I stuck a hex head through the hole in the socket to hold pully still. No amount of my forcing will loosen the nut. I put liquid wrench stuff on to make it easier but nothing is working.

IS there some specal way to do this? I don't know what to do now and I would really like to open the damn thing up.
