I have a 1988 240 with the m47 5 speed manual gearbox. I noticed that when I donwnshifted from third to second today, that it almost grounded. I could not seem to see it happen more then twice. I took it out again and there didn't seem to be another problem...knock on wood. Maybe I just missed two shifts or? The po rebuilt the transmission 25000 miles ago. Clutch probably has about 100k on it though. What do ya think?
