Front anti-sway bar bushings question 200

Just replaced the front stabilizer bar bushings on the 240 sedan today with blue neoprene units. The holes in the old black rubber bushings that hold the bar to the frame were very elongated (oval shaped from age/wear). What effect, if any, might the elongated holes have had on suspension action.......clunking or excessive sway possibly? Other symptoms? Just curious .
