Hey there. I posted a message about this in a different place then it occurred to me that this may be a better place to post this. I'm a 16 yr old girl who has just decided that i want my first car to be a volvo 240, made sometime after 81. i need suggestions on what may be the pitfalls on some years but a good thing on others. My only real requirement is that it's an automatic. so i was wondering what years were known for a better auto transmission. I found a 88 240 that meets all the requirements ( in my price range $1400, automatic and the interior and exterior are in very good condition.) it has 214000 miles on it, so i need to know what i should keep an eye out for. I live in eugene oregon so rust isnt a huge problem, they dont ever salt the roads, and its off the coast. Any help is much apreciated.
