determining a cars value 900

Had a 91 940 GLE with 245K on it in good to better condition, and it was recently rear ended by a ford 350. The car is totaled, and I'm waiting for the insurance company to do their thing. What I'm wondering is, how to they go about determining how much to pay out for a totaled car.
