Advice needed on buying a '90 200

I am going to look at a '90 wagon. I haven't seen it for real but it looks nice in the pics.
The newest 240 I have owned so far was an '84. Needless to say there are some differences. I am totally unfamiliar with anything newer. Anything in particular I should look for on the '90?
What's the word on accidental deployment of airbags? I've heard of this in other cars but I've never seen it discussed here.
The car also has ABS. Sounds desirable but are there any drawbacks as far as maintenance?
Car has 115k + miles and is a 5 speed. Car is being sold by a dealer that specializes in late model used imports and is probably a trade-in. I think I should make an absolutely insulting offer and negotiate from there. Any advice on that?
Thanks.
