I had my transmission rebuilt last year and the reverse went out. I took it back to the shop that did the repair and had to remove and replace a part (for free; thank God). I just got the car back and while idling and engaged there is a fluttering sound like a dove (the best I can explain it) that increase with engine rpm. I don't remember hearing it before. Before reverse problem I had constant whinning that I thought was unusually loud. They did replace the torque converter and I'm thinking this make be making the noise.
Do you think there is anything to be concerned about? I'm going to take it back tomorrow and see what they say, but thinking they might dismiss it.
Thanks,
Gary
