Hey guys! I know it's been awhile, but after 7 months on an out-of-town job, I'm finally getting the 544 painted, put back together, and all that good stuff. I'm trying to get it finished before my wedding in October (at least the outside), so I can use it as the get-away car.
So my question right now is, how much needs to be taken off of the drive shaft when converting from an M40 to an M41 (w/ the later O/D)? I know it's in the archives somewhere, but I can't find it. The motor and tranny are already in the car and i need to take the driveshaft down to the driveline shop for modification. Also, any idea how much fudge room there is for the cut? I know the thing needs to have some slack.
The car will be back from the paint shop in two weeks and then the fun really starts! Wish me luck!
