I just finished replacing the blower motor in my 240...boy what a sense of accomplishment I feel right now!
It WAS a major PITA...8 1/2 hrs, but I was real meticulous about labeling/taping everything, and putting like screws in baggies with labels..putting the thing back together only took about 1/5 the time as taking it apart..
Total cost...64.00..that includes motor, new switch, and new resistor from Groton.
Only 1 problem..I cannot get the lights to the center console back in. The emergency flasher light just won't stay in its place, and for the life of me I can't get the console lights in at all..even had my wife try...
there appear to be 2 console lights plus the emergency flasher and the seat belt light.
Any suggestions?
Maybe if I ever had to do this again I woud try the chainsaw method.
The instructions that Art BEnstein posted were invaluable. If you are ever in the Raleigh area, I owe you dinner.
Thanks for the postings.
