ABS Brake bleeding. 200 1993

I would like to know if the necessary precautions, steps and the proper sequence to bleed the brake in a 1993 Volvo 240 station wagon. I am changing the front calipers.In addition, I have a power bleeder. Could I use dot-3 or only dot-4 brake fluid?
