fuel pump relay not the issue 700 1991

we have elimanated the fuel pump relay for our no start, it works fine. So what do we look at next as the cause of our no start?. Now when you try to turn the key to position 3 it does NOTHING, you hear the click of the fp relay when in position two but when you move to 3 nothing. ignition switch maybe? or should i not waste my time and get the car to a shop, and pay 65 bucks for a diognostic?
