I have the original Volvo roof rack on my wagon. Since I have an extra Thule rack and bike attachments, I'm wondering how much of a hassle it would be to remove the original rack. If the paint job will look odd (ie no fadding under the rack) and what to do with the holes in the roof will be a hassle, I can look into a new tall Thule rack that will clear the factory one. I'd like to hear from anyone who has been down this road. My preferred option is to add a trailer hitch for a rear rack I have but think this may be too expensive (I do have a rear carrier for our mini van. Thanks in advance.
