HVAC problems solved 700 1989

Hopefully the following information will help somebody out.

A few weeks ago, my AC just decided to quit and my AC light started flashing (this occurred while I was driving, not over time). I looked on the BB here and deciphered the codes, eventually leading me to a blown fuse for the blower fan (should've checked that first!). By now (a week or 2 later) my AC compressor was squealing. Bad. Bad enough that I had to take the belt off. At this same time, the blower fan was blowing fuses left and right.

Finally the other day I replaced my compressor and recharged the system, and now all of those problems have disappeared! Don't know why the blower fan had to have the AC compressor working...all I was doing was running the fan, circulating the ambient air around.

BTW, I purchased the new compressor off of eBay for $200 from this guy, CarCompressors@aol.com.
