Service light 700

Hello all

I have a 1989 740 wagon.
The service light seems to come on when I start the car, I drive off and the light goes off at the same time every time. Is the car telling me me it needs an oil change?

It started after I filled up wil gas about 3 weeks ago.

any input is helpful.
