'K' Motor Identification # Location 700 1989

My '89 760T needs a new engine. The inventory searches that I've done online for local yards gives me two choices for the B230FT in '89.

Number 0 --> 14417 (no sensor)
Number 14418 --> xxxxx (with sensor)

Which sensor is it referring to? My first thought is the RPM sensor since I know '89 was the first year they were offered in the 240 series cars.

I'm curious where I can find this number so that I can determine which engine is sitting in the car. I've looked on the cylinder head and have found the following, I haven't looked on the block yet:

Near Thermostat Housing:
132677

Exhaust Side of Head:
1000530
6770
07014 <---this is the only 5 digit number
8/6/88

This is just for information only, the engine choices that I have found so far are '92 and '94 B230FT. Leaning toward the '94 since it will have the piston cooling and extended timing belt change interval. Can anyone forsee any problems using the turbo from the '89 motor on the '94 motor?

Thanks,
Bean
