Best place to buy , or have a ECU rebuilt ???

Where is the best place to buy , or have a ECU tested , and rebuilt if necessary . Any help will be greatly appreciated . Checked with the dealer and way to expensive to go that route . I have checked with a company that will rebuild and guarntee for a year but felt uncomfortable talking to them . Gut feeling tells me to keep looking . Please help if you have a good source . Thanks,
