AC Control Unit Wiring 900 1992

Question:

I removed the lighter and the radio, only to find the control unit has a gazillion wires attached to it. I bought a new control unit and want to replace it, but are there any tips on how to disengage the wires and get them easily back on the new one? There does not seem to be much slack in the wires.
