VX Cam questions

I thought I remember seeing that the VX cam came in two versions, a straight up VX and and a VX3, which was already advanced 3 degrees. Can anyone confirm? Which does iPD sell? Does anyone sell the gear with multiple grooves for advancing the cam (a cheaper alternative to the adjustable gear?) Thanks.
